He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Patterson, Sr. and Dorothy Ainsworth Patterson; his brother Michael Eugene Patterson; and his sister-in-law Faye Kersh Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Sammie of Florence; his children, Debbie Williams (Bert) of Peoria, AZ, Paula Patterson of Halletsville, TX and Bret Patterson (Melissa) of Florence; his grandchildren, Jordan Meskin (Andrew), Morgan Williams, Nina Patterson, Carly Patterson, Ridge Walker and Sophia Walker; and his great grandchildren, Harper and Hannah Meskin. He is also survived by wife of 59 years, and they would raise 3 children.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that charitable donations be made in George's memory to the Dementia Society of America, the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust, or a charity of one's choice.
