She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Watson and Nellie Watson; her husband Thomas Carter; and her daughter Mary Stevens. She is survived by: her son Joe; and her sister Johnnie Kittrell (Clearance). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
