He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Stephanie Peebles (Mark) and Justin Ward (Kelly) of Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Kyle Peebles (Holly), Maggie Anderson (Preston), John Taylor Ward and Miles Henry Ward; his great grandchild Harper James Anderson; his sisters, MaDonna Goldman of Philadelphia and Sheila Gomillion of Philadelphia; his wife Wanda Ward; and his parents, Marla Ward and Wilma Ward. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to be sent to Blair Batson Children's Hospital.
