It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Elrod Pomeroy of Union, Mississippi, who passed away on October 21, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Elrod and Evelyn Deason Elrod; her husband John E. Pomeroy; her son Buford Pomeroy; and her brothers, Steve Elrod and Danny Elrod.
She is survived by: her children, Phila Pomeroy Blaylock of Montgomery, Scott Pomeroy (Kelly) of Selma and LeAnn Crawford (Tim) of Union, MS; her grandchildren, Brent Crawford (Molly) of Collinsville, MS, Lauren Logan (Jeremy) of Katy, TX, Alie Crawford Burt of Prattville, Lindsay Ung (Meng) of Cypress, TX, Kaysie Wilkins (Wes) of Wetumpka, Drew Pomeroy (Sarah) of Lousiville, KY and John Pomeroy of Birmingham; and her brothers, Mike Trammell (John) of Sylacauga and Ted Elrod of Sylacauga. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the Plantersville Christian Church Cemetery Fund or to a local hospice of your choice.
