He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Adkins, Sr. and Verla Reeves Richardson; and his sister Margaret Ann Kendrick. He is survived by: his wife Karen Adkins of Union; his children, Jana Garrett (Josh) of Louisville, Ben Adkins (Nicky) of Union and Bruce Adkins of Union; his grandchildren, Lane Adkins (Abi), Connor Adkins and Emberlyn Garrett; and his siblings, Susan Grubbs (Mark) of Clinton, Rita McCammon (Chris) of Oxford and David Adkins of Louisiana.
