She was predeceased by: her parents, Elba Franklin Dowdy and Beatrice Robbins Dowdy; her former husband W. D. Christy (Bill); her husbands, Luther Thomas Sloan and Willis David Christy; her sons, Leonard Christy and Willis Calvin Christy (Bill); and her siblings, Victor Dowdy, James Dowdy, Doris Browning and Daura Hale.
She is survived by: her son Bill; her grandchildren, Janice and Leonard; her daughters, Kay Sloan Matkins (Billy), Nancy Christy Underwood (Tommy) of New Albany, Nita Christy Robbins (Phil) of Pontotoc and Janice Christy Ecklein (Rick) of Salem; her grandchildren, Chris Matkins, Jill Gooch, Shay Roberts, Adam Roberts, Phillip Robbins, Daniel Robbins, Hanna Robbins, Earl Christy, Audrey Mason, Delicia Ecklein, John Ecklein, Josh Ecklein and Reese Ecklein; her sisters, Lavonya Palmer (Ron), Merle Dowdy of Olive Branch and Jamie Barney of New Albany; and also, Haley, Hunter Matkins, Morgan, Jordan Gooch, Coty Roberts, Jack and Emma Robbins. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
