She was predeceased by: her father James Herman; her husband William Carrol; her sister Betty Carter; and her grandson Anthony Garrison. She is survived by: her children, Judy Kirk (Larry), Brenda Reedy (Larry), Debbie Jumper (Mitchell) and Jerry Garrison; her brother-in-law James Carter; and her grandchildren, Michele Garrison, Will Reedy, Kyle Jumper, Meredith Griffin, Laura Reedy and Meghan Cobb. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
