He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hitt and Effie Mae Hitt; his children, Jeff Hitt (Linda Hitt) and Kathy Lynn Hitt; and his sisters, Pam Noble and Deborah Hitt.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Hitt of Union; his daughter Alethia Gail Hitt of Union; his grandchildren, Gi Gi Hitt of Decatur, Bobby Cash Pace of Union, Jackson Cruz Pace of Union and Tripp Pace of Union; and his sisters, Gail Pattillo of Union, Linda Anderson of Georgia, Betty Joy Holmes of Georgia and Tommie Faye Vereen of Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
