It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Dunaway of Tylertown, Mississippi, born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William V. Mardis and Loise Lee Mardis; her husband Powers Dunaway; and her brothers, Mitchel Mardis, Butch Mardis, Billy Mardis and Kenard Mardis.
She is survived by: her children, Powers Dunaway, II (Amanda) of Tylertown and Deedy Pryor of McComb; her siblings, Mike Mardis (Peggy) of Arcadia, FL and Janet Stancil of Sumrall, MS; her grandchildren, Felecia Pryor and Abel Pryor (Toni); and her great grandchildren, Marisa, Kaelyn and Gaige. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
