He was predeceased by: his parents, Estella McEwen and John Wesley McEwen; his granddaughter Jennifer Sides; his great grandchild Bailey Randall; his brother Paul Gaylon McEwen; and his sister-in-law Shirriel.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Webb McEwen; his children, Pamela Sue Brumfield (Cecil), Robert Wayne McEwen (Amy) of Tylertown, MS. and Dr. Johnathan Jay McEwen (Cynthia) of Tylertown, MS.; his grandchildren, Christa Bacot (Kyle), Michael Brumfield, Emily Delancey (Buddy), Wyatt Brumfield (Tiffany), Ian McEwen, Aiden McEwen, Connor McEwen of Tylertown, Megan Buckley (Morgan) of Columbia and Hope Brown (Derran) of Montana; and his great grandchildren, Brentley Sides, Izzabella Bacot, Kason Bacot, Waelyn Buckley, Harper Brown, Hudson Brown and Grayson McNeese.
