He was predeceased by: his parents, Whit Blackwell and Emily Blackwell; his wife Hilda Blackwell; and his siblings, Ruth Duncan, Henry "Dick" Blackwell, Grace Blackwell, Wendell "Ben" Blackwell, Weneva "Dude" Williams and Susie "Sue" Carter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Johnston (Vic), Wanda Plunkett (Hugh), Anita Jo Wright (Ray) and Susan "Scooter" Ellis (Robert); and his brother-in-law Reverend Glenn Martin (Pat). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Tylertown Baptist Church Mission Fund or Samaritan's Purse.
