We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2025, at the age of 81, Johnny Michael Holmes Sr. (Tylertown, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Holmes and Etha Barnes; his wife Barbara Ann Holmes; his daughter Kim Hall; and his brothers, Randolph Holmes and Altus Holmes.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny M Holmes, Jr. (Leeann), Joey M Holmes (Kimberly), Tammy Bourgeois and Pam Stephan (Larry); his grandchildren, Eric Holmes (Courtney), Aaron Holmes, Grayson Holmes, Ashton Holmes, Anna Grace Holmes, Casey Watson (Will), Cassidy King (Jacob) and Hannah Turner (Jeremy); and his sister Cheryl Elam (Harmon). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home (412 Beulah Ave, Tylertown, MS 39667). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hartman Hughes Funeral Home (412 Beulah Ave, Tylertown, MS 39667). A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Holmes Family Cemetery.
