He was predeceased by: his wife Georgette Phillips; and his parents, Ira James Phillips and Barney Phillips. He is survived by: his daughters, Alice Curtis (William) and Peggy Thibodeaux (Scott); his grandsons, James Curtis, Darrin Curtis, Matthew Bilich Jr. and Stephen Bilich; his great grandchildren, Amberlyn Mayfield, Bryce Curtis, James Curtis Jr. and Michael Curtis; and his close friend Rhea Estopinal.
