He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Smith Rushing; his children, Elbert Rushing (Karen) and Bernita Ward (Neal); his grandchildren, Chad Ward, Cody Ward and Heath Alford; and his great grandchild Tripp Ward. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
