He is survived by: his wife Sybil Johnson Mixon of Tylertown; his daughters, Donna (Barry Stockwell), Stacy (Steve Goodwin) and Rhonda Kennedy; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Austin Stults), Chelsea (Eric Hill), Matthew (Sarah Goodwin), Micah (Trey Craft), Jamie (Adam Rawls) and Rachel Stockwell (Ashley Nix); and his great grandchildren, Tripp, Andi Stults, Kaileigh, J. W. Goodwin, Caden Palmer, Avery, Mattie Craft, Shelby Hill, Phillip and Grant Nix.
He died of complications of Covid-19 on January 18, 2021.
