He was predeceased by: his sister Cecil Glynn Simmons; and his nephews, Jamie Stogner and Blandon Sorrell. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Owens Sumrall; his son Kevin Sumrall (Sherry); his grandchildren, Sam Sumrall and Kyle Sumrall; his sister-in-law Sedonia Sorrell; and his nieces and nephews, Janet Vince, Michelle Owens, Durwin Sorrell, Colin Sorrell, Tim Owens and Mark Owens.
