He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston Virgil Laird (HV) and Jessie Lou Hathorn Laird; and his siblings, Dorroh Laird, Dalton Laird and Daphne Laird Levin.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Stafford Laird; his children, Melissa Laird Dillon (Andy) and Duel Everett Laird, Jr. (Brook); his brother Dr. Dorman Laird (Henrietta); and his grandchildren, Montgomery Dillon, Makinley Dillon, Tate Laird and Hattie Laird. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Duel Laird to Tylertown Baptist Church.
