She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy Jewell Rushing O'Quin (Howard Lathrop); and her sister Lola Diane O'Quin. She is survived by: her son Robin Howard Lathrop; her grandson Stephen Alexander Lathrop of Orangeburg, SC; and her siblings, James M. O'Quin (Patricia Dunaway O'Quin) and Sharon O'Quin Boshart (Jackie Boshart). She is also survived by several nephews and a niece.
