He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Crawford Rushing and Billie Griffin Rushing; his son Mike Rushing; and his brothers, Cecil Rushing and William "Bill" Rushing.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Hunt Rushing; his daughter Donna Rushing; his grandchildren, Sam Rushing (Samantha) and Brandy Johnson (Denny); his great grandchildren, Karley Johnson, Kathrine Brumfield, Michael Brumfield, Austin Sullivan and Madi Purvis (Kade); and his great great grandchildren, Lynlee Brumfield and Maxwell Purvis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home (412 Beulah Ave, Tylertown, MS 39667). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at the Rushing Cemetery.
