He was predeceased by: his parents, Idena O'Quin and Hershell O'Quin; his sons, Tony Monroe O'Quin and Robert Edward O'Quin; the mother of his children Jacqueline Patricia O'Quin; his siblings, Beryl O'Quin, Carl O'Quin, Fredine Martin and Dorris Rowell; his granddaughter Tonya; and his great grandchild Jaylynn Leal.
He is survived by: his wife Sybil Kay O'Quin; his children, Carolyn Ann Miller (Roger), Vicki Carol O'Quin and Bert Abney O'Quin Jr.; his stepchildren, Pam Reeves (Trey), David Snowden (Kathy) and Will Snowden (Ala); and his grandchildren, Jodie Leal, Melissa Pollard (Jeremy), Ginger Breeland (Brandon), Ashton Spring (Danyell Estes), Patricia Spring (Stephen Kimmel), Jessica O'Quin, Edward O'Quin, Shanon O'Quin and Joshua O'Quin. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great – great – grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
