He was predeceased by: his parents, James Donaldson and Annie Donaldson (Mikell); his wife Annie Lois Donaldson (Bell) of Tupelo, Mississippi.; his brothers, Early Lee and Alton; and his close friend Betty Clark.
He is survived by: his close friend Benny Watkins; his son Vincent Hopkins Sr. (Nina) of Madison Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Vincent Hopkins Jr., Antonio Hopkins of Madison Wisconsin and Imani Nicole Hopkins; his great grandchildren, Zavion Hopkins of Sun Prairie, Ke'varia and Ka'mille of Madison Wisconsin; his brother Henry Donaldson (Algine) of Silver Creek; his nephew Charles Penson (Cheryl); his great-nieces, Candice and Chelsey; and his great-nephew Charles II. He is also survived by great-great nieces, nephews and friends.
