Trent Summers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2025, at the age of 89, Trent Summers (Tupelo, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Trent departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Trent may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Trent leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Summers and Ivy Lou Murphy Summers; his wife Martha Stokes; his siblings, Harvey Lee, W. T. Summers and Annie Lou Summers; and his grandson Justin Gilland.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Summers Gilland (Lem) of Belden and Jennifer Summers Kyle (Tim) of Blue Springs; his grandson Chris Gilland (Jenny); and his great grandchildren, Skylar and Kayleb Gilland.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo (5281 Cliff Gookin Blvd, Tupelo, MS 38801). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Old Union Cemetery.
