He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lee Long Sr. and Betty Cobb Long; and his brother Scott Long. He is survived by: his son James Lee "Jay" Long III of Tupelo; his grandsons, Preston and Gabriel; his brothers, Larry Long (Suzanne) of Saltillo and Tony Long of Tupelo; and his aunt Alayne LaValley (Ken) of Brunswick.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the East Main Church of Christ (1606 E Main St, Tupelo, MS 38804). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Tupelo Memorial Park (1328 Callaway St, Tupelo, MS 38804).
