He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Harper and Bessie Pearl Weeks Bennett; his wife Sue Bennett; and his siblings, Millie Manlove, Bill, Dewitt and Paul Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Don Bennett (Amy), Pamela Nerren of Sulligent, AL and Patti Jo Reid (Tom); his siblings, Bobby Bennett (Margarette) of Anniston, AL, Jerry Bennett (Betty) of Groveland, FL and Frances Jeffreys of Magnolia, TX; his grandchildren, Les Nerren (Jill), Sara Brown (Robert), Eric Nerren (Caitlin) and Taylor Bennett; and his great grandchildren, Liliana Nerren, Emma Grace Nerren, Jeremy Nerren, Mary Nerren and Caleb Weaver.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home (1604 MS-25, Amory, MS 38821). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
