With solemn reverence, we commemorate Bobby Laney (Tupelo, Mississippi), whose life came to an end on March 17, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Lois Johnston Laney and E. A. Laney (Bob); his stepfather Ansel Anderson of Aberdeen; and his son-in-law Drew Clayton, Sr. of Tupelo. He is survived by: his wife Jean Burgess Laney; his daughter Lori Laney Clayton; his grandsons, Drew Clayton, Jr. (Kayla), Reed Clayton (Morgan) and Tate Clayton (Anna Claire); his great grandchildren, West of Tupelo, Ainsley of Tupelo and Laney Clayton of Tupelo; his brother Jack Laney (Betty) of Gautier; his stepsister Jerry Harlow of Aberdeen; his cousin Vickie McAnally (Merle) of Nettleton; and his caregivers, Rebecca Goings, Sue Judon and Glenda Putt. He is also survived by four nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church- Tupelo (412 W Main St, Tupelo, MS 38801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
