He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Melton and Myrtes Bloodworth Melton; and his siblings, Charles Melton, Sammie McKee, Fran Mills and Linda Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Daphene Moore Melton of Senatobia, MS; his son Garrett Melton (Ashlee) of Republic, MO; his siblings, Richard Melton (Campbell) of Tunica, MS and Marilyn Griggs of Hernando, MS; and his grandchildren, Briggs Melton, Collins Melton and Brinlee Tennyson. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
