She was predeceased by: her parents, Van B. Clayton and Mary Ross Clayton; her former husband William T. "Bill" Spencer; her husband Johnnie; and her great grandchild Sophie Yielding.
She is survived by: her aunt Fettney; her cousin Estelle Kennedy; her daughters, Norma Yielding (Donald) and Mary Grimes (Boyd); her grandchildren, Chris Yielding, Lori Ann Mims and Laura Beth Chaney (Tyler); her niece Debbie Clayton Klein; her cousin LaVale Mills; and her siblings, Walter Clayton, Bill Clayton, Don Lee Clayton, Eula Mae "Pete" Gaines and Eloise Whittington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
