He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kix and Ida Mae Speaker Kix; his daughter Rachel; and his siblings, Frederick, Harold, Verna, Mavis and Evelyn.
He is survived by: his children, Yoland Kix (Tammy) of Centerville, TN, Holly Kix of Columbia, TN, James Kix (Karyn) of Murfreesboro, TN and Karrol Barnes (Mark) of Tishomingo, MS; and his brother Larry Kix (Linda) of Rock Rapids, Iowa. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
