It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gay Nell Hawkins Hunt (Thomastown, Mississippi), who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, L. D. Hawkins and Mary Bell Worrell Hawkins; and her siblings, William Hawkins and Maureen Keyes. She is survived by: her husband Dan Hunt of Weir; her daughters, Lisa Porter Algood of Weir and Diane Porter Sills (Marc) of Thomastown; her grandchildren, Lindsey Herring (Aaron), Briana Doster (David) and Dalton Whitehead (Anna); and her great grandchildren, Isaac Herring, Owen Herring and John Doster.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
