With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Clinton Rogers of Thaxton, Mississippi, who passed away on March 22, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamar Willis Rogers and Francis Carter Finchum; and his brother Ricky Slaughter. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Seymore Rogers; his children, Alyssa Rogers of Salem, MA, Donielle Jenkins (Robby) of Thaxton, MS, George C. Rogers, Jr. of Oxford, MS and Erik Jones (Alison) of Oxford, MS; his brother Carter Slaughter (Patty) of Clewiston, FL; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Rogers, Daniel Pearson, Emma Pearson, Roger Pearson, Will Jones and Piper Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lafayette Springs Cemetery Fund (Mary Francis Stepp, 175 Walker Road, Thaxton, MS 38871).
