She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elbert Sloan and Mollie Odom Sloan; her husband John Thomas; her children, Melony Cumbie, Jerald Thomas (Jan) of Terry and Judith Thomas Brazelton of Galveston, TX; her son-in-law Earl Cumbie; and her sister Vivian Harrell. She was also cherished by six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
