She was predeceased by: her father Thurman Braswell; her husband James Kilpatrick; her brother Lamar Braswell; and her niece Carrie Franks. She is survived by: her mother Carolyn Gilbert Braswell; her daughter Christy Burkes (Buddy); her siblings, Susan Johnson (Joe) and Wesley Braswell (Debbi); her grandchildren, Anna and Alex Burkes; her nephew Todd Braswell (Lori); and her pet Bonnie.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethesda Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
