He is survived by: his wife Mary Annette Gatewood; his sister Ann Fowler; his sons, Robert "Buck" and David L; his grandchildren, Jason Sheppard and Jessica Sheppard; and his great grandchildren, Makayla, Julia, Sean and Kashlynn Mae.
