He was predeceased by: his parents, Lumus Allen Blackwell and Martha Pauline Barber Blackwell; and his brother Thomas Hugh Blackwell. He is survived by: his children, Cristy Blackwell of Taylorsville, MS and Leland Blackwell of Taylorsville, MS; his grandchildren, Rebecca Powell (J. T. Weathersby) of Johns, MS and Winferd Powell of Raleigh, MS; his great grandchild James Lee Weathersby of Johns, MS; his siblings, Albert L. Blackwell (Sarah) of Taylorsville, MS and Peggy Blackwell Desormeaux of Franklin, LA; and his niece Nicole Blackwell Castle (Brad) of Japan. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
