He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel David and Hilma Jane Walker Hodge; his wife Emma Sue Yelverton Hodge; his parents-in-law, James Horace Yelverton and Clara Jones Yelverton; his son-in-law Tony Singleton; and his sisters, Joyce East (Jackie) and Peggy (Edward).
He is survived by: his children, Gary Hodge (Judy) of Taylorsville, Nanette Singleton of Taylorsville and Michael Hodge (Karen) of Pell City, AL; his grandchildren, Suzette Sullivan (Brian), Dexter Singleton, Dr. Gary "Sonny" Hodge II (Bonnie Hodge), Tarrah Allen and Lindsay Hodge (Brandon Funderburg); his great grandchildren, Brance Sullivan (Halley), Brady Sullivan, Ella Allen and Walker Hodge; and also Sue.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM.
