He was predeceased by: his parents, John Speir and Vevie Speir; his sons, Glen Howard Speir and Robert Gregory Speir; and his siblings, Norma Stewart, Thelma Brown, Tommy Speir, Ray Speir and Donald Speir.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Lou Blakeney Speir; his children, Jeff Speir (Gina), Kathy Martin (Vernon), Jennifer Wilson (Eddie) and Joseph Speir; and his sister Virginia Faye Wittmann (Bob). He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren, 4 Great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
