He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Jerry DuBose, Sr. and Marie Patricia Smith DuBose. He is survived by: his brothers, Richard Jerry "Ricky" DuBose, Jr. of Mize, Charles M. "Micky" DuBose (Kathy) and Soso; and his stepson Alan Lowery of Taylorsville. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
