He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Coy Smith and Dorothy Blakeney Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Lenore Dale Smith of California; his siblings, Joe Carl Smith (Barbara) of Laurel, Garland Smith of Taylorsville, Elaine Hankins (Carrol) of Taylorsville, Jane Polk (Dean) of Taylorsville and Frances Hodge of Taylorsville; and his nieces and nephews, Dawayne Smith of Laurel, Clint Smith (Stephanie) of Laurel, Donovan Smith (Maggie) of Taylorsville, Connie Atwood (Kerry) of Taylorsville, Melissa Chandler (James) of Mize, Lauren Hodge of Taylorsville and Amy Walters (Brian) of Laurel. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
