With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alton Elic Blakeney of Taylorsville, Mississippi, who passed away on September 19, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Weaver Blakeney and Inez "Nezzie" Butler Blakeney; and his siblings, Grafton, Hilton, Bidwell, Irene Ivey and Lorene Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Nicky McAlpin Blakeney of Taylorsville; his children, Sara Blakeney Broadway (Tracy) of Taylorsville, LaDonna Robertson Byrd of Virginia, Stuart Blakeney (Teresa) of Mt. Olive and Al Robertson (Kay) of Taylorsville; and his grandchildren, Ryan Byrd (Constance), Karli Rodriguez (Jose), Austin Byrd, Heather Disney (James), Brooke King (John), Brad Robertson (Tiffany), Tyler Broadway and Kyle Broadway (Kalie). He is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
