It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Houston (Taylor, Mississippi), who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Rockett and Emma Rockett (Norphlet); and her brothers, James Roy and John Edward Rockett. She is survived by: her significant other Rodney Houston; and her daughter Danun Thomas. She is also survived by five sisters; one brother; a bonus brother/nephew; two sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, three aunts, two uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
