He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Emmitt Thompson and Ludie Victoria Patton Thompson; and his brothers, Norris Thompson and Robert Lloyd Thompson. He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Latrice (HiYon) of New Albany, OH; his wife Eulastine Martin Thompson; his son Gregory Thompson, Sr. (Tonya) of Clinton, MS; his godson Robert Tatum, Sr. (Linda) of McDonough, GA; his grandchildren, Kimberly Thompson, Gregory Thompson, Jr. (Victoria), Jasmine Adams (Jar'Quis), Cynthia Cox, Jonathan Cox, Justin Thompson, Charles "Alex" Cox, Austin Tatum, Aaron Tatum and Robert Tatum, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Gabrielle Ward, Greyson Sims, Kingston Thompson, Aria Thompson and Gavin Sims; his sisters, Ella Isom of Oxford, MS, Ceola Johnson of Jackson, MS and Evelyn Harrison (Calvin) of Memphis, TN; his brothers-in-law, Sterling Martin (Myrtis) and Miller Morgan, Sr.; and his goddaughters, Martha Shaw, Chevette "Shawn" Jones, Christy Isom Jones and Crystal Robinson Gray. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church (35 Co Rd 313, Oxford, MS 38655). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the Oxford Memorial Cemetery North 16th (420 N 16th St, Oxford, MS 38655).
