She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Byrd and Ella Byrd; her daughter Khai (Johnny Jr.); her siblings, Damita Byrd Caldwell (D'Iberville) and Regenald Byrd (Hattiesburg); her nieces, Mikayla McMillian and Blakely Byrd; her sisters-in-law, Arnecca Byrd and Barbara Taylor; her aunts, Tuwaine (Sylvester), Whitehead (Canton) and Helen Rhodes of Los Angeles, CA; her close friends, Shandi White, Davis and Taylor; and her extended family, Johnnie Jr., Bertha Sims, Jerry, Lillian Sims, Dexter, Janice Jackson and Gail Bass.
