He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harvey Abney, Jr. and Frances Hearn Abney; his wife Carol Vance Abney; his children, Scottie Dwight Abney (Andrea), Steven Harvey Abney (Barbara), Everette Allen Abney and Lynda Gail Abney; his siblings, Michael Hearn Abney, Nancy Miller (John) and Diane Aguzzi (Vic); and his grandchildren, Jake Austin Abney, Scottie Dwight "Buck" Abney, Jr., Steven Michael Abney, John Augustus Breen, Frances Grace Breen and Steven Harvey Abney, Jr.. He was also cherished by six great grandchildren.
