It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Varion Stogner of Sumrall, Mississippi, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Gertrude Stogner; his parents, William "Bud" Stogner and Dehlia Turnage Stogner; his brother William Earl Stogner; and his son-in-law Kenny Franz.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Franz of Sumrall, Howard Stogner of Sumrall and George Stogner (Carolyn) of Sulphur, LA; his sister-in-law Calva Mae Clemmons; his grandchildren, David Stogner (Jill), Kimberly Comeaux (Pam), Keisha Jarrell and Kayla Lindgren (Logan); and his niece Debra Ashley. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (323 2nd St, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
