He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmus Russell and Melvina Lowery Russell; his siblings-in-law, Fran Russell, Tina Russell and Jack Aultman; and his nephews, Jimmy Russell, Seth Russell and Chance Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Russell (Misty) of Sumrall, MS, Shelton Russell (Jeanie) of Sumrall, MS, Douglas Russell (Marisha) of Sumrall, MS, Jan Russell (Mark) of Sumrall, MS and Candie Coulter (Steve) of Sumrall, MS; and his siblings, Sarah Kahl (Sam) of Sumrall, MS, Terry Aultman of Sumrall, MS, James Lowery Russell of Collins, MS, Ben Elliot Russell (Pat) of Sumrall, MS, Hal Russell (Donna) of Angie, LA and Odell Russell (Terry) of Angie, LA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two on the way, one step grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church (175 Hickory Grove Rd, Sumrall, MS 39482). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
