She was predeceased by: her husband Roy "Ruvell" Broom; her parents, Barney H. Bass and Betty Sue Bass; and her brother Barney "Lavon" Bass. She is survived by: her children, Dustan Broom (Heather) and Bridgette Broom (Craig); her sisters, Peggy Nelson and Doris Graves (Mark); and her grandchildren, Krystal Williamson (Trent), Perry Broom (Hannah), Trisdon Broom and Alexia Broom. She is also survived by five Great-Grandchildren.
