He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl Smith; his parents, Gerald D. "Bully" Smith and Johnnie Smith; and his siblings, Frances Magee and Harold D. "Bully" Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Michele Stanley of Sumrall, MS, Mike Smith of Sumrall, MS and Mitch Smith (Debra) of Sebastopol, MS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
