It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edward Bass of Sumrall, Mississippi, who passed away on February 12, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Bass and Zelma Dyess Bass; his wife Shelby Jean Bass; and his brothers, Leroy "Bud" and L. B. Bass.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Bass Istre of Hattiesburg, Wayne Bass (Debbie) of Bassfield and Eddie Bass (Kathy) of Sumrall; and his siblings, Christine Dyess of Carson, Lucille Dyess of Carson and Hubert Bass of Monticello. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
