He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Richard Cassidy and Eula Carney Cassidy; his siblings, Richard Carney Cassidy, Arch Wilson Cassidy and Nancy Cassidy Boone; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Thompkins Cassidy and Joseph H. Williams (Joe) of Jacksonville, FL..

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Caroline Crabill Grisanti, James Conner Grisanti, William King Grisanti, Adele Kathleen Cassidy, Miriam Annesley Cassidy, Virginia Smith Cassidy, Gray Mills Cassidy, Jillian Everett Cassidy, Ford Landers Cassidy, William Garner Cassidy and James Daniel Cassidy; his children, Caroline Cassidy Grisanti (Dino) of Germantown, TN, James Pittman Cassidy, Jr. of Oxford, MS, William Archibald Cassidy (Annesley) of Tampa, FL and Christopher King Cassidy (Liz) of Oxford, MS; his sister Julie Cassidy Williams; and his sisters-in-law, Dolores Barnes Cassidy (Lo) of Jacksonville, FL and Kathleen Crabill Farrington (Sam) of Jackson, MS. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
