She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Thomas Carney and Geneva Mae Mitchum Carney; and her husband J. C. Givens. She is survived by: her children, Kenny Pearson (Lisa), Dawn Cooper (Jeff), Chris Givens (Monica), Ashlee Hughes and Jonathan Givens (Kiersten); and her friend Diane Simmons. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tangipahoa Baptist Church (7555 Thompson Rd, Summit, MS 39666). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
